I grew up in a small fishing village called Port Stanley, Ontario. Growing up on a Great Lake gave me a real appreciation for the natural world and exploring it. This inquiry has propelled me to explore all parts of the world as I love to travel. I have lived in many parts of Canada and now call Fort McMurray home. I been in Fort McMurray for the last 6 years and teaching in the district the whole time. I love teaching at McTavish, the students, staff and sense of community here is amazing! It truly feels like home.
I am a naturalist loving all things outdoors. You can find me walking the Birchwood Trails daily with my dogs. Working in the garden, supporting green initiatives in the district and community. I am a creative and peaceful soul who loves cooking, good music, renovating homes/cottages and furniture. I practice yoga daily and think its truly importance to find some time in your day for reflection.
I have a Foods background: Worked in the Hospitality industry for 10 years before heading back to University, Diploma in Food and Beverage Management from Fanshawe College, London ON
