We officially moved to Fort McMurray in the summer of 2019, in the thick of the pandemic and after finishing my first teaching contract with my hometown highschool. Shortly after moving I began working online through the E-cademy+ program with the Fort McMurray Public School Division, working with students whose families choose home based education. I moved back into the physical classroom of Ecole McTavish in the fall of 2021.
