Teachers - High School
Nedessa was raised on a Christmas tree farm in Nova Scotia. She has called Fort McMurray home since 2005 when she started teaching Junior High Science at Timberlea Public School. Nedessa has always had a passion for working with students that have individual needs which led her to her current position of LAC.
Nedessa enjoys spending time with her son, Dylan, daughter, Maevyn and husband, Brian. She also has a newfound love of yoga since kicking cancer’s butt in June 2016.
Nedessa currently holds a Biology Laboratory Technology Diploma and a BSc. from Dalhousie University- Agricultural Campus, B.L.S with a concentration in Secondary Science Instruction from University of Maine, and a Masters of Education in Special Education from University of Alberta. She says she is done with her schooling but her husband doesn’t believe it as she is always looking for something new to learn.
Nedessa loves helping students who find school difficult discover their true learning potential.
