I am the youngest of nine children. My family is originally from Newfoundland but we have lived all over Canada including Nunavut, Ontario, and Alberta. I love to travel whenever I can and experience new foods, beautiful sights, and different cultures. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2010 with a major in French and a minor in English. I was quite fortunate to be able to complete the third year of my undergraduate degree in Nice, France. There I was immersed in the Southern French culture and attended the Université de Nice. This life-changing experience definitely enhanced my love of the French language and culture as well as my desire to continue to travel the world.
I earned my Bachelor of Education Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2011 with a focus on intermediate and secondary education (7-12). My focus for teachables being French and English. I have now been teaching at École McTavish Junior High School since it opened in 2011. I have enjoyed every minute spent with the impeccable staff and the diverse group of talented students that we have at our school. This year I am teaching Grade 7 Language Arts and Social Studies, Health 7, and French as a Second Language for grades 7 and 8. Feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions.
