Born and raised in Vermilion Alberta, Krista made the move to Fort McMurray in 2001 when her husband Jody joined the Fort McMurray Fire Department. They love everything about this great city! Krista was a stay-at-home mom until 2011 when she joined the Thickwood Heights School team as a part-time Educational Assistant. In 2014, she made the move to Ecole McTavish where she still is today as the Program Assistant Secretary for the PEAK Athletic Academy. Sports have always been a part of Krista's family life and working with the PEAK Athletic Academy enables her to see students pursue their passion for sport & academics. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, fishing, yoga, visiting the family farm (especially the animals!) and spending time with her family and 4 dogs!

Parents/Guardians, during the CUPE strike, please email emtabsences@fmpsd.ab.ca for all attendance-related concerns such as excusing your child due to illness, picking your child up early, acknowledging a late, informing us of a prolonged absence, etc.
