Apart from being a mom and a teacher, I love to read, to write, and to be outside biking, running, or walking - fresh air and exercise are healing. Meditation and the daily practice of gratitude are important to me; I feel truly blessed to have this amazing life! I was born in Toronto, but raised mostly in Edmonton; I have lived in Fort McMurray for 12 years and am proud to call it home.
I earned a BA in English Literature from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, and furthered my education at Simon Fraser University in BC. My favorite thing about teaching is that each day brings something new; I am never bored. My classroom is filled with love, laughter, hugs, and respect. Hopefully this is a model for life that my students can take with them.
