After moving from Newfoundland to Fort McMurray in 2014, I have been lucky to teach at École McTavish in several different capacities over the years! I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English Literature and French, as well as a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Secondary) from Memorial University. I'm thrilled to be able to teach literature to our Marauders and connect with many of them extracurricularly through our Student Council. I love writing, singing and making music, crafting, camping, and being outside in nature. When I'm not at school or grading a million essays, you can find me hanging out with my husband, son, and our pitbull Kingsley.

Parents/Guardians, during the CUPE strike, please email emtabsences@fmpsd.ab.ca for all attendance-related concerns such as excusing your child due to illness, picking your child up early, acknowledging a late, informing us of a prolonged absence, etc.
