RAP and Career Counsellor

I am originally from Cape Breton, N.S. In 2006 I moved to Fort McMurray working at Westwood Community High School as a high school social studies teacher. In 2009 I became the Off Campus  Coordinator looking after Registered Apprentice Program, Work Experience Program and Power Engineering Program. In 2019 I moved to Ecole McTavish High School to be part of a new high school. My husband and I have a son and daughter and a Jack Russell Terrier. We love to spend time at our lake lot, as well as outside activities and watching movies, and travelling.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor in Secondary Education from the University of Maine Presque Isle. I love connecting with students and learning what their passion is and what motivates them.

Parents/Guardians, during the CUPE strike, please email emtabsences@fmpsd.ab.ca for all attendance-related concerns such as excusing your child due to illness, picking your child up early, acknowledging a late, informing us of a prolonged absence, etc.
